PT Pro - It all began with a bag
Idea and foundation

Every rider of a Segway PT knows it - the front handlebar bag that decorate almost every Segway Gen2 or SE. Michael Möllinger, at that time a pure supplier of tours with the Segway PT, couldn't explain to me, his friend at that time and business partner today, why this front handlebar bag has the price it has. Based on my long experience as a buyer in this field, it should be possible to produce a good and equivalent bag for this area of use at a much lower price.

So together we set out to develop a handlebar bag suitable for the Segway i2 and x2 and brought in the experience of many touring companies. E.g. to build the body of the bag out of heavy duty polycarbonate or the handy extensions at the zipper, which can be easily used even with gloves. And all this at a very reasonable price. Of course we have adapted the front handlebar bag so that it also fits the Ninebot Elite.

Naming PT Pro:

After this project was successfully completed, we received a lot of positive feedback and the clear order from Michael's friends in the scene to develop other practical, affordable things for the tour and event provider, but also for the passionate fan of the popular stand-up scooters.

However, new projects require new structures. E.g.tour booking system, an online shop, a large, professional workshop that meets the high demands for a professional and fast repair of the Segway PT and much more. We decided to accept the challenge.

Since the Segway PT falls under the category of personal transporters, the abbreviation PT was the obvious choice. This quickly became the brand name PT Pro. And so nothing more stood in the way of founding PT Pro GmbH und Co KG in September 2015. The logo should visually imitate a Segway PT with the T moved upwards as a leansteer.

Service, maintenance, repair and modification of your Segway PT :

The Segway PT is characterized by high quality and durability. Should there be any problems, our specially trained staff can usually solve them quickly and cost-effectively. Our workshop is equipped with everything that is necessary. From the 3D lathe to the battery diagnosis device, we can handle almost the entire Segway PT repair area in-house. Thus we have full quality control and can work cost and time efficient.

An exception to this are all software components. Here we are unfortunately dependent on the Segway Inc. own service department. (Prices and service times are not within our sphere of influence)

PT Pro is one of the few insurance appraisers for various insurance companies in the Segway PT sector. E.g. for the Zurich Insurance Company. Furthermore, due to our market activities we have very good knowledge of the price structures of used Segway PT on the market.
